Recent events:

Ancillary trade meetings - Ross Lake (Eastern Pig Health Coordinator) held a meeting for the allied trades in Bury St Edmunds on the 6th July. The meeting was successful, with representatives from many industries giving valuable input. A full summary will be available on the website shortly.
YHH hosted an Ancillary trade meeting on 9th December 2009 at Askham Bryan College. This was attended by 70 representatives of the allied industry.
Mappleton Cluster Meeting - 4/2/2010. A very successful meeting attended by producers, vets and allied trades where future plans for funding were discussed

The BPEX health team held two forums at this years Pig Fair at Stoneleigh Park on 11th and 12th May. The forum gave an overview of the health schemes and the action so far. Speakers included Richard Lister, a producer in the Boroughbridge area, Nigel Woolfenden, vet at Bishopton Vet Practice and Angela Booth from ABN feed who gave an insight into how the allied trades can get involved in YHH. The sessions were chaired by Howard Revell and Phillip Richardson who sit on the steering group for Eastern Pig Health. Presentations and photos from the event will be online shortly

Smallholders - Please watch this space, meetings are currently being organised for those with small numbers of pigs
